Snow

Oh, Snow
How does it feel to fall?
Tell me, was it all worth
Rising from the oceans
In the first place?
Oh, Snow
How does it feel to melt?
Tell me, was it all worth
Taking to the skies
In the first place?

Oh,Snow
How does it feel to be
So many faces at once?
Tell me, does it ever hurt
To think
That not one of them
Would be good enough?
Oh, Snow
How does it feel to be
Living a life and yet be lifeless?
Tell me, does it ever hurt
To think
That everything you did
Would never matter?

I ask, but you say nothing.
You turn to water instead,
Seeping into the ground,
Finding your way around
Back to the Ocean,
Just to do it all over again.
I ask you, is it worth it?
I ask, but you say nothing.
You return to the Ocean instead,
Prepared to rise up again
Only to fall in the end.

And once again I ask you,
Were they worth it?
Was any of it worth it?
I ask you if you would do it again.
And as you fall, I hear you whisper
Through the cold winter air
“Yes,
A million times over again”.
